Hertz Certified Pre-Owned

Up until five years ago, Hertz was primarily a car rental company focused on being the very best in the rental space.  At that time, we realized that in order to remain the top choice with our customer base we would need to continuously upgrade our fleet to stay current and ensure the best quality in our cars.  That is why we decided to start selling our lightly used fleet vehicles at varying points in the car's life cycle.

The most miles any of our used cars will ever have at the time of sale is +/- 5,000.  We upgrade our fleet every new model year and simultaneously phase out a large portion of our existing inventory to make room for the new.  However, before any of our cars become eligible for sale, they must undergo a 60 point vehicle inspection to receive the Hertz Certified Pre-Owned  designation.  The Hertz Certification process is a rigorous and thorough inspection of the vehicle to ensure that our high-quality standards are met before we make them available for sale.  Think of this certification like a warranty.  For the first 60,000 miles or 3 years of ownership, we provide a bumper to bumper warranty, complimentary annual service contract at a dealership of your choice for the first 2 years, and a complimentary 1 year tire replacement service.  At the time of sale, you will have the option to extend any of these offerings for up to 5 years at an additional cost.
